Computer programmer by day, lay-about by night, and occasional youth coordinator in between.
My leisure time interests range from playing computer games to reading sci-fi and fantasy books, from watching movies and certain TV show to taking photographs, from occasionally running a mile or two (yes, it's miles, not kilometers now that I'm in the US) to traveling the world... well, half of it so far, at least.
I've always dabbled in music one way or another, and now one of my old interests has resurfaced. I'm thinking of taking up spinning records once again, though this time digitally. Vocal Trance is my preference for spinning, though I listen to a wide range of music, such as Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, Reggae, Celtic, Folk, Classical, New Age, various Fusions, and most forms of Techno. I even enjoy dancing to some of that music.

Wow, it's been quite a while since my last post here. I just got reminded I have a profile here, and I actually have the time, and am in the mood for writing a bit of something.
I decided it was time to remove the badly quoted Monty Python reference in my intro (now at the top, previously below my dated posts), and write somewhat of a more descriptive text. It's not a life story, which might never come, or it might, but it'll give you an idea of what I do, and what I like.
Enough of that.
My life the past year has been interesting, yet with very little seeming change. I had a nice long vacation in the Netherlands, which was unfortunately extended by the death of my grandmother. She lived to a ripe old age, as they say, and led a pious and mostly happy life. Backtracking a bit... I very much enjoyed the time I spent with my parents and siblings in Amsterdam. It's interesting to note how, as I've grown older, my relationships with my family have changed. For the better, I assure you.
It's been nearly half a year since I was there, and the meantime has been occupied most recently with the organization of the Alachua
KuliMela 2007 event. It's a great initiative, and looks to become a great experience for any who attend, though different from the 2006 Kulimela in New Vrindavana. This one will be focussed more on the local community and its development, though the principles should be applicable anywhere else.
Another event that will take up a decent amount of my time is the Second Annual Youth Empowerment Appreciation Dinner. Like the name implies, it's about thanking the youth for their inspiration, creation, and involvement in many local projects here in Alachua, and showcasing what we've been working on to the community at large.
That's it for a while, I guess.

I'm bored, talk to me!
It's been a long day at work, and getting home was particularly uninteresting today. So, I want to hear from you, the world, what interesting things keep you busy after work—or school if that is where you spend your days.
What do you do for fun, as a devotee, that doesn't break any of the 4 regs?
